Throughout my life, I have been a part of high level athletics and have had many injuries. Because of this, I have experienced, first-hand, the benefits and effects of manual therapy. Through my injuries, I wasn’t always listened to by doctors, and as a result have some permanent injuries and pain.
I have always wanted to go into the healthcare field, but didn’t know exactly what I wanted to go into until I gave massage therapy a chance. Now I make sure that each of my clients gets the proper care needed — even if that means referring a client out for further evaluation that is out of my scope of practice.
I believe that personal, at-home care matters as much as the time on the table, and that being able to fully trust your therapist is crucial to effective care. That is why I aim to build a lasting relationship with each client who walks through the door.
Manual therapy can help with muscle tension, tightness, and how your body feels and moves, and it works best as one part of a bigger picture that includes training, nutrition, and care at home. If something is outside my scope of practice, I will tell you and refer you out for further evaluation.
It depends on you — your goals, your activity, and what your body needs. We will talk it through at your first visit so you know what to expect before committing to anything.
I believe that trust is crucial to effective care, so I focus on forming a real relationship with every client. I also believe personal, at-home care is needed, and I plan to add the education and certifications to build personalized plans for overall better health.
